INDIA FILM FESTIVAL OF ALBERTA 2020

The Sixth India Film Festival of Alberta (September 1-30, 2020), features award-winning and independent films from India and Canada, a short film competition for Alberta film makers, and several workshops and Master Classes. Due to the pandemic, it will be a combined online and drive-in event, accessible to viewers across Alberta and Canada.

EVENTS

Digital Screening

All the feature and short films (including the short film competition) will be available online for the duration of the festival, accessible to viewers in Alberta and the rest of Canada. Tickets for the films must be purchased online ahead of viewing.

Drive-In Screening

Viewers can enjoy a “big screen” experience from the safety of their cars via drive-in screenings. Calgary and Edmonton will have three days of screenings, Fort McMurray two, and Sherwood Park two, each day showing a different film. Admission is free, but viewers will need to register online ahead of time, so that the number of attendees can be controlled.

Short Films

Edmonton Movie Club (EMC) is proud to announce the IFFA short film contest to be held in conjunction with the sixth annual India Film Festival of Alberta. The EMC has always worked to support Canadian independent filmmakers. This year, we are introducing a short film contest. Canadian filmmakers of all backgrounds and ethnicities are eligible.
